 To me what this means is that dean wanted to be remembered as a man who didn't care about winning or losing he cared about his fans and players he wanted them to do something good in life because life isn't always about winning and being big its about leaving something you will want people to remember you for. dean never cared about the color of your skin or what religion you were in he just wanted to teach everyone about the good in life and teach them to be educated. legacy to him isn't the important issue, what was important to him was that he wants his players and fans to just do good and do what you love doing.
