A promise is something that should never be broken. a promise is what should be kept in no matter what the cause of the problem is. A promise is like an egg for example, an egg is something you should be gentle and careful with because once you dropped the egg it will crack and spill everything which to my point is you should carefully take care of that promise, because once it spill it you can hurt someone with the truth. but yeah although my egg theory thing doesn't really make sense the basic you need to know is keep a secret.
